Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe. Voltaire
In a world where logic often transcends belief, where reason reigns supreme, comes the tale Faith Kalondu. “Kalondu,” meaning “sheep” in my mother tongue, and also a gentle jest, a way to tease someone easily fooled. In this story, Faith Kalondu (A Faith that challenges reason) is a tale that embodies unwavering trust. Against all odds and despite the whispers of doubt, a little girl clings to her mother’s promise, a belief so strong, it ultimately brings her heart’s desires to realization.
The little girl is Ella, the cutest little angel, born in November.
Last year, Ella couldn’t have a birthday party as mama was unable to throw her one. She asked and waited for Mommy to find the right time for her, Mommy promised to do it later “December,” she said. But December came and went, and still no party! Ella kept asking hopefully, her faith unwavering, even through January, bless her heart! Mama still couldn’t manage it, so she said, “February!”
On February 22nd, 2025, the November girl celebrated her birthday with her friends at school. Exactly what she wanted. Her joy, tangible! A celebration clearly to her liking. With her few chosen friends at the high table(teacher’s desk) and the rest around cheering her with good wishes and envy, November had come in February and it was good, it was very good.

I remember calling her mother after the party and I was privileged to hear something amazing, a joyful Ella telling her just how grateful she was. It was heartwarming. The joy and gusto!! Her mother said to me, “ She gives thanks with the same zeal she asks.” How wonderful!
Just how wonderful!!
Can you celebrate your November in February?
What do you do when you face delays?
Do you notice when November comes in February?
Ella, a six-year-old, sparked a beautiful reflection within me that day. She’s reminded me of God’s boundless, unconditional love. Just as Ella’s mother delighted in her happiness, so too does God delight in ours.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the timing of our prayers, to feel discouraged when answers don’t arrive on our expected schedule. But Ella’s example pointed me to a different path that day. Instead of fixating on deadlines, I can choose to maintain a continuous conversation with God, sharing my heart’s desires with unwavering trust. He is, after all, the embodiment of trustworthiness (Isaiah 26:4).
And when those prayers are finally answered, when my “November” finally arrives, I want to overflow with joy and gratitude. I want to proclaim His wonder and goodness, expressing the depth of my thankfulness for His perfect timing and unwavering love.
Trust God, “Faith Kalondu”, your November is coming!
“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.”
Isaiah 26:4 NIV
